A Little Scare

Mom didn't take any new pictures of me, so here is one that she took a while ago and didn't use.  I caused Mom a bit of concern Thursday and Friday.  Thursday morning I had bad diarrhea and she chased me around with wet paper towels.  I hated that.

Karen Jo:  You had poop all over your bottom and I had to clean it off.  I could tell how much you hated it, but you were pretty good about letting me clean you off, even though it took three tries.  You did threaten to bite me the third time, but you didn't.

I went and hid for a couple of hours after than and didn't eat much all day.

Karen Jo:  You didn't even want to share me steak, which is highly unusual.

I told Mom I wanted my breakfast early Friday morning, but then I didn't eat it.  I only ate half my sardine later and when Mom came in to make her lunch, I barfed.

Karen Jo:  I am so glad that you always barf on the plastic mats I put under your food dishes.  It makes it really easy to clean it up.  I got worried that you weren't eating much at all and didn't want to play, though you did come over for your brushing.  You had me worried and while I was at work, I made arrangements to have you go to the v-e-t, if you weren't feeling better by Saturday morning.

I am all better now.  I met Mom at the door when she got home from work and really talked to her about how hungry I was.  I hadn't eaten my stinky goodness, but Mom got me some fresh and I ate it all up and wanted some more.  By now I have eaten almost all of that and told Mom that I want some more before bedtime. After I ate, I tore around the house like my tail was on fire and wanted to play and play.

Karen Jo:  I am really glad that you are all better now.  I wonder if that Newman's Own food I gave you on Wednesday upset your tummy.  Something sure did and that was the only new thing that you ate recently.  You will be glad to hear that you don't have to go the the v-e-t after all.

Yay!

We are all so very happy that Herman is well again....mamabug says that it could possibly be that food, cuz Andy has a very delicate stomach when it comes to what he eats.....and he easily gets the "drizzles" if he is fed anything but his old, reliable cat food. xxxx from y'all from all of us.

You had a mess of a day yesterday, but we hope that's all out of your system!

It is good news that your feeling a bit sick only lasted a few days. I can sympathize about hating to get my bottom cleaned off - my folks do it as a team of 2 and use the shower attachment over the bath a little, and it really fight them. Us floofy cats have that kind of a problem, but it gives us floof between our toes, and that is very special stuff!

There's not much worse than floofy britches and the splats! Smokey knows all about that, and Meepsie is glad she has short hair then.

We're very glad you are feeling better, Herman and we know that you and your Mom are too!

Sometimes a change of food can upset a tummy. Momma tries to mix in new foods to we don't get a shock like that. I hope you are feeling better.

Ugh, I hate it when my tummy gets upset like that...the squirts are no fun and then not feeling like eating? That's, like, a crime.

Glad you feel better already!

Sometimes new food can upset the cats's stomach. I try to put a little bit in with the old food until they get used to it. Glad Herman is doing good.

Herman, have you been hanging around Melvin and Zoey? They seem to have poops hanging off of them all the time, too.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better!

We're glad you're feeling better, Herman. Maybe that Newman's Own food was a little too rich for you....

Hi Herman! Glad to hear that you are feeling better. It's yikey to have diarrhoea, especially if you're a long haired kitty with a furry backside.
