Tuxie Tuesday

When Mom got home tonight, she told me that she was too tired to blog for me tonight.  I told her that I couldn't miss Tuxie Tuesday, so she had better get blogging.

Karen Jo:  I am exhausted from two very busy days at work, but I finally agreed that I couldn't let you miss Tuxie Tuesday.  You look very comfy there in your bed.

The weather has gotten cooler and I didn't get any sunspots today at all, or fresh air, so I decided to snuggle up in my cozy bed for my afternoon nap.

Karen Jo:  It looked too much like rain to open the big windows in the kitchen and living room., but I did open my bedroom windows, so there was some fresh air in the house.

Mom ruined some more fish for lunch today.  I tried a tiny bite this time, but that was enough.  It was yucky.

Karen Jo:  I liked it very much.  I made fish and chips both days.  I'm sorry that you don't like it, but I am very fond of it.  I am going to roast chicken breasts tomorrow with herbs.  I think you might like that better.

I seem to remember that and that I like it, at least sometimes.

Karen Jo:  I used to chop it up and freeze it, then thaw some in the microwave for you every day for your elevenses, when you first came to live here.

That was a long time ago, but I think I remember.  I didn't always eat it.

Karen Jo:  You don't always eat anything.  You keep changing your mind about what you want to eat.

That's a cat's privilege.  I have never turned down steak.  When is the next one coming?

Karen Jo:  Thursday night. Do you want some sour cream with it?

Oh, yes. What else did I do today?

Karen Jo:  You walked away from your furmination for the first time in a very long while.

Herman:  I need to grow more fur for the winter and you keep stealing it.  Of course, I walked away.

Karen Jo:  I don't know quite how this works, but I think I have to keep brushing out the old fur, so the new fur can grow in without causing mats.  Can anyone give me some help on this?  Don't I have to keep up brushing and using the Furminator on Herman to prevent mats, even when he is growing in his winter coat?

Thanks Mom for doing Tuxie Tuesday for Herman, it made us stop by and say hello!

Happy Tuxie Tuesday to all beautiful Tuxedo cats everywhere.

Herman - we are picky too with our foods - our mum thought it was a girly thing but we see if can be a mancat thing too.

Thanks to your Mom for doing your post even though she was tired. I don't know about the furmination, because I won't let my people brush me all over, but what your Mom says seems to make sense. I do get mats in some places, and they have to attack those individually with some scissors and the brush.

You look mighty comfy Herman! I don't know about furmination either. Since we live in the south none of us really get winter coats.

We think it's impawtent to get the old fur out so the new one grows in. Herman is probably shedding his summer coat to get ready for his nice, cozy winter coat.

We think you are lucky that she cooks you such nice food. I don't know about the furmination because if Momma doesn't brush me my furs grow in okay--we just furminate me 'cause otherwise I get hairballs. That is hard to know what to do?

I don't blame you being a little contrary about fuuds Herman, who'd want to eat the same stuff all the time.

We all hate being furminated so the ape tries to only do it if we are actively shedding, which we are now 'cos it's autumn. Once your new winter coat is through a daily brushing/combing will probably keep the matts away :)

Steak!? We will be over tomorrow night...

KonaKitty has furz like yours (we think) and Mommy uses a Zoom Groom on her. It really grabs the downy undercoat and it doesn't tug much. Kona also enjoys a regular rubber-tipped bristle Human hair brush. She meeps and squeaks with pleasure when Mommy grooms her with that.

I'm back and still following you. As per my latest blog post, I'm letting everyone that's in my following list know I still have them.
We're back and we're so furry happy because it means we'll be able to keep up with you better now! We've missed you!

Hi Herman! I do not like any kind of people food except sardines so I cannot offer you any encouragement about that. But I think my Mom would love to visit you when you have your steak with sour cream!

Also I do not need to be brushed. Sushi says to do whatever you need to do to keep from getting mats because she really hates to get them. Even though she is brushed every day she still gets mats and she really does not enjoy the process of getting rid of those nasty things.

prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs,
Tiger Lily

p.s. Zeke and Sushi send tail wags to both you and Karen Jo.

Herman, we admire the way ya can change yer mind about the foods ya will eat. We dont get away wif that too well. The Big Thing can be very determined.

Sometimes when we decide we dont like our dinner, he will just mix it up a bit before he goes ta bed. Then he is annoyingly happy ta notice the clean bowls in the mornin...

Herman
You have a nice assortment of foods to chose from and we all admire how you get your steak.

We are glad you were able to get your Mom to blog for you on Tuxie Tuesday because that means we are able to see your handsome face.

We are picky eaters too - some days mom has to try several plates before we will eat something - that is us older cats - the young ones eat anything!

Dear Herman!! All of us here are SO HAPPY to read your recent pots. When you seemingly dropped off the planet with no warning, we were terrified that something horrible had happened to you or your mommy!! And now, we find out that you're not just doing OK -- you are feeling FABULOUS!! And looking like it too!!

ALL 6 of us fur-kids LOVE the FURminator!! We'd allow our mommy to brush us until we were baldi-cats, if we could. This great brush just grabs out the dead undercoat, leaving a clean perfect surface to grow that oh-so-important new season coat! If you get FURbrushed 3-4 times a week, it will allow your beautiful new fur to come in with no mats whatsoever. Actually, if used often enough, it might make it so you don't have to go to the V.E.T. in the P.T.U very often!!

Just trust totally in your Mommy, Herman. She has been led and guided about exactly what to do so you are able to have the magnificent life you do together!

Hi Herman! It is totally obvious to us you are feeling better because well, when a cat feels good he is finicky! You sound like us - one day we love somethign and the next, no interest at all! We don't know how it works with the brushing - even when Floys was still here mom would brush all year, because there is always some shedding going on - at least for him there was (maybe it is an indoor cat thing). Since the house would still be a nice temperature in winter it didn't really make a huge difference for him.

My friend, we are in AWE of your powers, you have a personal chef!! We gotta start workin' the Rumblemum harder, she used to cook stuff for Inigo, but she hasn't done for ME (and they won't let us eat their food! da NERVE!)

Rumblemum switches to a normal brush and comb for the winter, we don't like winter furmanation either.

It's so good to see you looking so well Herman.

My humans use a furminator on me and I like it, but they have to do it almost every day to stay on top of it!
Mattes come out of the blue, honestly!

My, my, you have quite the lovely treats, too!
