Karen Jo; The floodgates opened yesterday while I was writing Herman's Gotcha Day post. How I miss every little thing about him just came crashing down on me, so I'm taking a little while off from blogging.
Spyro: In the meantime, what do you think of this for my header photo? I am up on my spytower, looking at Mom.
Karen Jo: I don't think I will be gone long, but I don't want you to worry about me. A wonderful thing is happening. Spyro, who is anything but a lap cat has been jumping up on my lap and demanding attention and actually staying for a while. Oja, who is a bit of a lap cat, but not really, has also been spending time in my lap and giving me lots of attention when I lie down to read or go to bed. She is doing her very best to fill in as bedtime cuddle cat. She has done this from the time she came out of her room and she is getting better and better at it. With such good helpers, I should be back to being more myself soon. Thank you all so much for all the kindness you have shown me.

There is nothing like a cat to help you heal. We are glad they are filling in and hope that they continue to give you lots of cuddles.
Take as much time as you need. We all understand. We are glad that Spyro and Oja are trying to help you with you sadness. Purrs and hugs from all of us.

I think that grief can wash over us in waves, and can hit us with force at unexpected times.

We KNOW that Spyro and Oja will begin to take over yer life. It the way life werks and thats a good thing... The Wheel Of Life keeps turning.
Spyro and Oja are working hard to make you feel better! It is hard, and you need to give yourself space to grieve and heal. Let the kitties do their work and come back when you can. The photos of them, I think, will make an awesome header.

You can use something like PicMonkey to make a collage, or Picasa (also free) to do the same, though you have to download Picasa to your computer if you don't already have it.

We love your new header - it's so nice to see Herman's handsome face there as well as Spyro and Oja.
It takes time to start to heal Karen and you had taken such wonderful care of Herman - I know it takes a lot of time to start to heal. Justtake one day at a time.

Karen Jo, you take time and allow Oja and Spyro to heal your loss. Mom says when she got me, I helped her and Dad both heal from loosing all 3 before me kitties in less than 10 months, they had them all for 16 years...a big hole in their lives.
