Karen Jo: I don't know what that could possibly be. You have four kinds of crunchies and three kinds of wet food out all the time. Tonight I brought you a roasted turkey breast and cut some up very small for you and you didn't want it. It was still nice and warm, too.
It smelled good. I really checked it out, but I didn't feel like eating it.
Karen Jo: I am glad that you ate more today than you did yesterday. You are still not eating enough, though. You were eating a can and a half of Stinky Goodness plus crunchies when you were gaining weight after you got settled in here. Today you have eaten about 3/4 of a can, plus some nibbles of crunchies. If I can get you back up to one can a day, I think your weight will at least stabilize. That's about what you were eating when you gained back a little after your first weight loss. One of the things that really scared me was that you were asking me for Temptations, then not eating them. Tonight you ate up the ones that you didn't eat earlier and asked for some more, which you also ate. I don't really want you filling up on Temptations, but any food I can get in you is good at this point.
I had one watery poop today, but made some more pudding poop. Mom thinks that may be because I didn't eat all my Benefiber until early this morning. I'm not giving Mom any trouble about the Interferon or the Pred and I even enjoyed my brushing this evening.
Karen Jo: That was bothering me, too. You walked away from your brushing last night and this morning and you usually love it. Maybe you were remembering that I hurt you once when I hit the mat with the brush and you weren't sure whether or not it would hurt again; or maybe you just weren't feeling good enough to enjoy it.
I am really glad that the nasty mats are gone. I just wish I felt more hungry. It's like I want to eat, but then I decide that I don't really. Then I go get another drink of water.
Karen Jo: I am very glad that you are still drinking so much water. It's good for you and keeps you from getting dehydrated. I feel much better tonight and I do know, really, that I am doing everything that I can to help you get better. Now, go eat some more, Herman.

Well done for eating better Herman. I expect you are quite tired from the poops saga (and the vet visit) but more pudding poops is a good sign.
If you really don't want that turkey, we can help eat it for you.
Just keep on eating big fella!
Our Mum just sent the info from a different email address hoping it gets through to Karen Jo. This is the 3rd time sending it so we hope it gets through to you this time. If it doesn't we'll have to find another way to get the info to you.

Sending tender thoughts and many purr-ayers for this little dude to get better soon! Have you tried chicken liver to entice his appetite? Boil the livers in a little celery for flavor. When cooked, dice really small. My sick cats always love this stuff and the dogs adore having the liver water (UGH) poured over their food!
Oh yea Hermans eating is the bests! Sounds like your moms has outfitted you with tons of delicious noms! maybe just the smell alone will get you pigging out like me!
We're glad you're eating, Herman, especially the foods with your medicines in them...we just wish you would eat more too!

Herman make your mom happy and eat a little more that you put on weight ! It can't be too difficult with all the good things she is giving you !
Rosie has put on some weight now since I gave her Hill's Science Plan "Sensitive Stomach" for gentle digestion. After she had been so sick, she had also lost weight and she is already such a little cat. The trouble is, now she doesn't eat anything else !
My friend said I have a real cat restaurant here. Pookie only eats dry food from Friskies and Whiskas. Arthur only eats "Gourmet" in tiny cans and it has to be "mousse", he doesn't like dry food and Kim only eats "Felix" in cans !
Poor Herman. We feel sorry for him that he doesn't eat a lot of food. We don't like to eat when we don't feel well either. Here's hoping that Herman feels well enough to eat a lot more food!

Hope you keep eating good Herman so you can gain back your weight. Mom has trouble getting Patches to eat right. All she will eat is temptations and Party Mix. She barfs up the regular cat food we eat. Mom says she will give her anything she will eat, but it's a bit pricy that way because we want some of that temptations a Pawty Mix too. Mom gives us stinky goodness to now and then. Take care Herman we purrs and prays for you.

Man, if we had all that food at our house, we'd be the size of a house! Herman you are doing better with your eating and we are proud of you...
Karen Jo, have you asked the vet about the canned AD food? It's pretty high in calories and may help him put some weight back on. It's a prescription food made by hills. Good luck!
Eat, Herman, eat! We girls told Speedy he really needs to come to yoor house and show yoo how to eat...he's good at it!
Herman dear, the whole blogsphere is pulling for you. Please eat!
Your mommy must has a huge worry-worry.

Gosh, I can't magine not eatin Temptations. Or all dat ofur yummy foods. Is Herman maybe not smellin da foods? When really old cats loose their smellin, they also loose their eatin. If it don't smell yummy, it don't taste yummy.
Mom boiled turkey giblets fur Scruffy once an her eated them like a starvin cat, then slept all thru fanksgivin dinner.
Purrs an healfy whishes!
